Could you please introduce yourself?
My name is Luc Novellas. I’m 35 years old, I’m a trainedbaker and pastry chef, and I’m based in Saint Victoret (13). This is my third bakery with Les Grands Moulins de Paris; I’ve been working in bakeries for 10 years prior to this.
How did you come across GMP? Why did you choose to work with GMP on your first installation project?
I was already familiar with Grands Moulins de Paris. I chose to work with them on my first setup because I had a colleague who had used GMP and was satisfied with their service. He recommended GMP to help me with my project, so it was really word of mouth.
You’re now on your third bakery. Did GMP assist you with the sale of your existing business and with finding and purchasing the new ones? How did the sales go?
Yes, Grands Moulins de Paris has supported me every step of the way. I haven’t sold any businesses yet, but they’ve helped me with my plans to buy others. Even though I found my latest bakery on my own, GMP showed me many others.
What made you choose GMP to support you in all your projects?
I chose Grands Moulins de Paris because they offered me genuine support. I needed financing, and they provided it. I also knew the Transactions and Financing Advisor in my region.
Are you satisfied with the support you received? Can you describe it to me? / How were you supported?
Yes, I'm satisfied! And now they're helping me with my investment plans; they're showing me several funds that are available for purchase.
What if we had to do it all over again?
I'd do the same thing all over again—I wouldn't change a thing!

Yes, I am truly happy in my job as a baker today.

My advice to anyone looking to start their own business for the first time is to reach out to Les Grands Moulins de Paris, as they know how to provide guidance. They also organize the Young Bakers’ Competition (CJE) and encourage participation.
