From September 1 to 11, 2023, the Châlons Fair, the flagship event of the agricultural sector, brought together more than 750 exhibitors and attracted 206,000 visitors, making it the second-largest event in France after the Salon de l’Agriculture.
For its 77th edition, VIVESCIA offered an exceptional immersive experience at a 600-square-meter booth titled “From Field to Table,” featuring a 55-square-meter live bakery. Grands Moulins de Paris and Francine also contributed to the event with their own bakery, showcasing their expertise and flagship products.
New at the 2023 Châlons Fair: A Hit Bakery!
In fact, for ten days, four technical advisors, members of the Confrérie des Boulangers de Grands Moulins de Paris; took turns baking two types of traditional baguettes made with our sustainably sourced flours at this year’s Châlons Fair. These delicacies—the Cœur d’Epi and the Platine Label Rouge CRC; were offered for tasting to visitors to showcase our expertise and the quality of our products. We strive to share our passion with our employees, consumers, and future customers.
Kids, get cooking!
In addition to serving as a tasting area, our bakery corner allowed us to share our expertise through hands-on activities. Over the course of five afternoons, children aged 9 to 15 were guided by technical advisors from Grands Moulins de Paris as they learned how to bake bread, sparking enthusiasm among both children and adults alike.
From farm to table
To understand the process of turning wheat grains into flour, visitors were able to explore a model of our mill in Brienne. In addition, Francinewas on hand to organize culinary activities over the course of three days at the Châlons Fair, ranging from baking to fun games.
There's something for everyone at the Châlons Fair!
Our iconic brand Francine organized two baking workshops to teach children ages 9 to 15 the art of baking, led by instructors and our Francine Team. On the menu: making chocolate chip and yogurt cakes, as well as crepe tastings.
For those curious, a series of three fun activities was offered, allowing participants to discover and understand all the stages of wheat processing, from field to plate.
The best is yet to come!
