This Tuesday, March 21 March 2023, 100 French committed to presenting and sharing their vision of the food industry and the future of food in France in 10 years’ time in a time capsule.

Above all, brands must look to the future to provide a vision and a sense of purpose for every link in the chain—starting with consumers—regarding the future of the French food system.

What is the food time capsule?

The French food industry is undergoing major changes, and the sector has reached a turning point where all stakeholders must reinvent themselves.

Today’s food system is not the reality of tomorrow, so brands and companies must envision and develop the agriculture, products, and businesses of the future. Marion Mashhady and Sylvain Zaffaroni, founders of Pour Nourrir Demain, believe that all stakeholders must work together in solidarity to solve food sustainability issues.

These 100 brands will work together to tackle the challenges of tomorrow and have committed to continuing to feed the French people despite crises and difficulties. Their vision has three components: their vision for food (how will consumers eat?), their vision for the agri-food industry (what kinds of farming and distribution?), and their CSR commitments.

These are all important and unavoidable questions if we are to radically reinvent ourselves with new ideas, new models, and new perspectives—all of which point in the same direction: ensuring that the French people have a sustainable food supply for years to come.
