Our 7th annual Safety Week took place from June 5 to 9, 2023, at the Vivescia Group.

Developing a “just culture”means fostering aparticipatory safety culturethat builds trust between managers and employees, and among employees themselves. It’s aboutmaking it easier to work together and encouraging people to speak up!

At VIVESCIA, a fair, collaborative, and shared culture is built on three pillars:

This is based ontrust, dialogue, transparency, andrecognition, tofoster engagementand initiative at every level of the company when it comes to safety.

Thisinvolves recognizing and accepting the right to make mistakes within the framework ofclear, established rules, and a safety management system that rewards (or penalizes) preventive and safety-conscious behavior fairly and judiciously.

And is grounded in a strong cultural foundation: the four values and associated behaviors, particularly the concept ofkindnessto prevent psychosocial risks.

Safety is everyone's responsibility

Safety is an integral part of our Link by GMP CSR commitments.

Because there is no excuse for getting injured on the job, our CARE safety program—in place since 2015—ensures a safe working environment. In 2022, we recorded 26 work-related accidents resulting in lost time across all our sites. Our goal: zero serious or fatal accidents by 2025.

Throughout the week, we were able to bring our employees together and participate in various activities focused on safety issues to take stock of our progress, brainstorm ways to improve further, and discuss and share experiences and best practices.

Many activities were organized at all our locations:

First aidworkshop: recognizing the signs that indicate someone is in distress and knowing how to respond.

Mandatory digital escape room workshop: its goal? To foster a culture of fairness among the crew so we can reach our destination safely!

Risk HuntingWorkshop: identifying risks in a given environment and determining the corresponding preventive measures.

 Time’s Up Workshopon Safety

Workshopon Falls on the Same Level: Preventing Accidents Related to Movement, Fall Simulation.

Workshop onidentifying hazardous situations: recognizing hazardous objects and situations, role-playing exercises.

Workshop onheightened awareness: observing different situations to avoid any potential danger.

Workshop onshared mindfulness: recognizing natural kindness toward colleagues and how to cultivate it.
