"It's this creative process that fascinates me."
I would like present
Sara Dolle, 30, graphic designer and layout artist at Grands Moulins de Paris since January 2018. After a baccalaureate in applied arts (STI), I naturally decided to pursue my passion for visual communication with a BTS in graphic design, publishing and advertising. I then went on to enrich my profile with a variety of experiences: communications agency, creative department at a printer's, designer-infographer in the textile industry, and several freelance assignments.
WHY JOIN GRANDS MOULINS DE PARIS?
At the end of 2017 and after several freelance assignments, I felt like returning to the corporate world, its dynamism and its challenging side.
Grands Moulins de Paris' advertisement reached me. The position suited me and I wanted to put my experience and skills to work for a great company.
YOUR MISSION AT GRANDS MOULINS DE PARIS?
I am responsible for the visual identity of Grands Moulins de Paris and its brands. Specialized in print, I design all the media necessary for the promotion and development of Grands Moulins de Paris, Campaillette, Copaline, Recettes de mon moulin... As part of the Marketing Department, I work with many different people: Product Manager, Trade Marketing, Corporate, Human Resources... The creation of posters, catalogs, logos, signage, bags, among others, is part of my daily routine.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT YOUR JOB?
Creating a logo starts with a brief, then comes an idea, then research, sketches... all the way to the final result, which is just the beginning, because after that, the logo will live on in many different media. It's this creative process that fascinates me. You need imagination and creativity, but you also need technical knowledge of software such as Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, because these are the tools that enable us to bring our ideas to life. It's a job where there's never a dull moment, where you're always pushed to give your best, and where it's important to know how to renew yourself and keep up with the times and trends.
YOUR FONDEST MEMORY OF GRANDS MOULINS DE PARIS?
I've been lucky enough to be able to carry out some great professional projects, but two in particular stood out for me. I designed the new signage for tours of the Paris-Gennevilliers mill, so I was able to visit it at length beforehand, and find myself at the heart of the company. I was impressed by the size, complexity and bustle of this emblematic building. I'm also very proud to have had the opportunity to design the new Grands Moulins de Paris logo as part of the work on the new brand platform. I'm proud to leave my mark, forever inscribed in the history of Grands Moulins de Paris.
IN A NUTSHELL, WHAT DOES GRAND MOULINS DE PARIS MEAN TO YOU?
The future!
