CARE's rise continues in Brienne!

And another milestone for our mill in Brienne-le-Château, which celebrated its third year without a lost-time work-related injury on January 18!

This is a source of great satisfaction for all site employees, who have incorporated CARE routines into their daily work and make safety a top priority.

The many tools implemented at the site over the past few years have helped foster a safety culture at the Brienne site and drive the CARE initiative. Last year, safety dialogues were stepped up.

This year, a new program has been launched: "Vis ma Vie Sécurité."

“Live My Safety” is an initiative designed to share best practices, foster a safety culture, and develop the CARE 2025 policy (managing major risks in our industry and fostering a just culture). It also involves taking time to reflect and assess our progress in this initiative.

How does it work? Stéphanie Habasque, QSE Manager at the Brienne site, explains.

We have formed pairs and created a schedule for the entire year. Each month, two pairs participate in the"Walk in My Shoes" safety program. The pairs are composed of employees from across the site, regardless of their position in the hierarchy. Operators and managers may find themselves sharing their daily routines.

In the month leading up to the"Vis ma Vie Sécurité" event, the two members of the team must complete a preparatory form that allows them to take a step back and reflect on all the CARE initiatives each person has carried out, changes in behavior, technical and organizational improvements within their department, and each person’s contribution to the CARE initiative. It’s a real plus for realizing just how much we do! It’s also about preparing to welcome your colleague to the department and figuring out what tasks they’ll be assigned.

Next comes the implementation phase of the"Vis ma Vie Sécurité" program. Each pair will spend half a day in the other’s department on different days. During one of these two half-days, a safety discussion must be held. If neither pair has been trained to conduct this discussion, a department manager will assist them in doing so.

At the end of these two half-days, each person writes a summary of what they learned while working in the other’s department.

In less than six months, more than half of the site’s employees have already completed their “Vis ma Vie Sécurité” program!

Very positive feedback

Once again, congratulations to all the teams at the Moulin de Brienne and
for their commitment to safety—both for themselves and for others!
