This year, Grands Moulins de Paris is partnering with the Ligue contre le Cancer for Pink October 2024. This partnership invites bakers to join the national movement in the fight against breast cancer.

Pink October: A Month of Action

Pink October is a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the fight against breast cancer. Everyyear during this month, activities focused on prevention, early detection, and fundraising are organized to support research and assist those affected. The League plays a vital role by providing essential support to patients and funding critical research to find more effective treatments. 

Raising Awareness for Everyone with Grands Moulins de Paris  

We are joining this cause to remind everyone of the importance of prevention. We are implementing a number of initiatives to engage not only our employees but also our bakery clients and their customers. 

To support this wonderful initiative, for every kit purchased by our customers, Grands Moulins de Paris will donate €50 to the Ligue contre le Cancer, which will be used to fund its efforts to support patients and their loved ones. 

A concrete commitment to bakers

Grands Moulins de Paris invites bakers to get involved in this cause by actively participating in Pink October 2024. Those who wish to participate have received ready-to-use store kits designed to transform their retail spaces into venues for solidarity and awareness-raising.

– 1 brochure featuring a selection of Pink October breads

– 5 labels

– 1,000 bags for specialty breads

– 5,000 baguette bags

– 1 window decal

– 10 balls

– 250 pens

– 5 badges

In addition to these promotional items, for every kit purchased, €50 will be donated to the Ligue contre le Cancer to help fund its initiatives supporting patients and their loved ones.

A special Pink October recipe booklet was also distributed to each of the bakers supporting the cause. It features a selection of flour blends designed to help them offer nutrient-rich breads to their customers.

An internal mobilization

Prevention is key to making a real difference in the fight against cancer. To help employees discuss this topic with their loved ones, the League Against Cancer is offering a webinar to all employees.

To support the League’s 2024 Pink October campaign, “Stronger Together,” teams across the organization demonstrated their commitment by taking photos of themselves wearing pink. These moments of solidarity not only raised awareness among our employees about the importance of coming together to prevent breast cancer, but also strengthened the bonds within our teams!

An ACMS nurse also spoke at a conference organized in collaboration with Délifrance.

Prevention topics were discussed with the aim of raising maximum awareness among employees about this issue.
