The buckwheat flour market
Did you know that buckwheat flour used to be reserved for Breton galettes? Today, it’s a staple in all kinds of kitchens— from bread and pasta to cakes—and has become the second-best-selling product in its category!
Francine buckwheat flour: it has really come a long way in recent years!
For the past three years, the Francine teams have been committed to sourcing exclusively from France to ensure that this product is made entirely from buckwheat grown in France. The “Made in France” label—for both ingredients and manufacturing—is now a real advantage over other buckwheat flours on the market. This is especially true given that buckwheat production in France remains limited, making it a major asset worth promoting.
New, more sustainable packaging
Today, this product is evolving once again with new packaging: our iconic brand is replacing its signature box with a 100% eco-friendly pouch!
In fact, Francine’s packaging has continued to evolve over the years: the box format has been replaced by a 100% recyclable, FSC-certified pouch, saving 19 tons of packaging per year. Like all Francine pouches, it is made from raw materials sourced from responsible supply chains.
A step forward that is part of the Francine brand’s commitment to sustainable development “RACINE” brand, an integral part of “Link by GMP” and demonstrates our commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of our packaging.
A new design by Anne Treutenaere
New packaging means a new design! Francine’s buckwheat flour package has been given a fresh new look to stand out more on the market and appeal to a wider audience.
Our iconic brand was delighted to collaborate with the illustrator Anne. T, who created an original design inspired by the world of buckwheat.
Francine for Everyone: Effective Search Engine Optimization
The Francine teams have carried out a major product listing initiative with our retail clients to ensure that the product is available in as many stores as possible.
This project drew on a wide range of expertise within the company: identifying a partner that met our standards, ensuring product quality (since buckwheat is a particularly sensitive crop), introducing the product to major retailers, and optimizing the supply chain to ensure continuous availability in stores.
