The Bakery Carousel: success of the first edition

After a year and a half of planning, Grands Moulins de Paris is proud to announce that the Carrousel de la Boulangerie was a huge hit with both visitors and exhibitors!

On November 6 and 7, Grands Moulins de Paris, alongside12of its key partners, organized its first trade show dedicated to artisan bakers in the Salons Vénitiens ofthe prestigiousMusée des Arts Forains. A unique and magical setting, right across from the Paris School of Baking and Pastry, which certainly fostered friendly exchanges and business meetings between exhibitors and bakers. 

Over the course of two days, more than 170 visitors attended our event.

At thisintimate trade show, bakers had the opportunity to meet expert partners in one place to help them grow their businesses. The 12 exhibitors were able to showcase their support solutions—specifically designed for artisan bakers—at their respective booths.

To round out the discussions,two roundtablesessions will be moderated by Armand Tandeau, a journalist at Toque Magazine,wereorganized.

They focused on reviewing the recent energy crisis, drawing constructive lessons from it, proposing solutions to help businesses recover financially, and demonstrating that baking remains a profession with a bright future.

This was an opportunity for Claire Madorétopromote ourMarketplacealongside Marijana Mircevski,whoshared her day-to-day experience on our platform as a GMP customer. Alistair SmithandClaire Bretteauofferedtheir advice on how to communicate professionally and effectively on social media.

During the two-day trade show, theThe Paris School of Baking and Pastry, located next to the Musée des Arts Forains, offered several tours of its facilities. This was a way to promote the school’s strengths, which include training not only future bakers but also adults seeking career transitions. 

We were also pleased to welcomeDominique Anract(President of the National Confederation of French Bakers and Pastry Chefs—CNBPF),Xavier Casalini (Secretary General of the CNBPF), Anne-CécileContamine(Secretary General of the National Association of French Millers), as well as several members of the Greater Paris Bakers’ Employers’ Union, includingSébastien Doley (Secretary General),Pascal Barillon(Vice President), andAdeline Chazelle(Communications Manager). 

Grands Moulins de Paris is not only the organizer but also, and above all, an exhibitor!

This trade show provided an opportunity for us to position ourselves as THE miller of Paris, a provider of solutions for bakers. At our booth, we focused on supporting our clients with property transactions byfeaturing several prominent listings in the regiononthe Marketplace with a showcase highlighting a selection of merchants’ products,andon ourmerchandising services, notably our bread rack.

To showcaseour new products,17 varieties of baguettes and specialty breads werecrafted byJérome Brohet,Dany Rachinel,Yannick Chevalier, andRenaud Delannoy, members of the Confrérie des Boulangers Grands Moulins de Paris.

The Bakery Carousel in the Spotlight!

This trade show was a massive undertaking, particularly in terms of communication across our entire digital ecosystem as well as with the media. This earned us excellent media coverage.
