At Grands Moulins de Paris, we are convinced that employing people with disabilities is a source of progress for our company and for society in general.
We regularly take concrete action to promote the inclusion and retention of people with disabilities in the workplace: assisting employees with administrative procedures, adapting working conditions and workstations, purchasing products and services from ESATs (Etablissements ou Services d’Aide par le Travail, or establishments or services providing assistance through work), setting up a joint disability committee, etc.
European Disability Employment Week is a highlight that we make sure to promote and organize every year.
Mobilizing around disability:
During SEEPH 2023, which took place from November 20 to 26, we invited Grands Moulins employees to play an active role in progress by becoming members of the jury for the " Grand Pitch Pépites Emploi! ."
What is the Big Pitch?
This is thefirst public speaking competition dedicated to people with disabilities.
15 candidates selected by PEPITES EMPLOI! took to the stage and gave a two-minute pitch on one of the following five topics:
- Do I look like I'm right for the job?
- New horizons.
- RQT... what?
- What a crazy life!
- Disability, yeah, so what?
This initiative aims to highlight talented individuals, or "Pépites, " who are seeking professional opportunities and have well-defined projects.
Already active since 2022: finally discover our DIVERSITY logo!
During the SEEPH 2022, we launched a contest inviting all our employees to contribute to the creation of our "Diversity" logo .
The aim was to rally all employees around this issue and promote diversity andinclusion at Grands Moulins de Paris, which are key topics in our internal policy.
We received 21 creative logos, which were initially put to a vote by employees. The top five logos were then evaluated by a jury according to the following four criteria:
- Promoting the image of Grands Moulins de Paris and its internal policy.
- Consistency with the theme "Diversity at Grands Moulins de Paris" and promotion of the subject.
- Visual quality, aesthetics (graphics, colors).
- The originality of the concept.
Following this selection process, we compiled all the positive elements identified by the jury so that our in-house Artistic Director could develop the final logo.
The elements retained from the selected logos were:
- Simplicity, allowing the logo to be legible, memorable, and easily recognizable.
- The readability of the texts, which makes them understandable to everyone.
- The use of several colors from the graphic charter creates a dynamic effect.
- Illustrating all forms of diversity.
- Adding a signature.
Revealing the "DIVERSITY" logo
This "Diversity" logo, created in-house, was inspired by the designs of the five finalists. It is intended to be simple, dynamic, adaptable, and applicable to all forms of diversity.
