Under the law on freedom to choose one's professional future, companies with more than 50 employees must calculate and publish their gender equality index every year.

Grands Moulins de Paris stands out once again

For several years now, Grands Moulins de Paris has been implementing numerous measures to promote professional equality. We have worked actively to reduce all disparities, particularly the gender pay gap. This daily, collective commitment has enabled us to achieve a score of 99 out of 100 on the professional equality index for men and women since 2022. We are therefore proud to confirm this score for the third consecutive year!

The gender equality index at a glance

Based on five indicators, each worth between 15 and 40 points, itidentifiesareas for improvement in companies in terms of gender equality. The five indicators assessed are as follows:

  The gender pay gap

The gap in individual pay increases between women and men

The gap in promotion rates between women and men

Increase following return from maternity leave

The number of women and men among the 10 highest earners

When wage disparities are identified (the alert threshold is set at a score of 75/100), the company has three years to implement corrective measures, otherwise it faces penalties of up to 1% of its total payroll.

The law also requires this index to be published on the company's website and intranet. In order to make this index even more transparent and encourage companies in their efforts to promote gender equality, the results are also published on the Ministry of Labor's website for companies with more than 250 employees.
